THE LIGHT WITHIN
»The Light Within« is the final part of the trilogy »Awakening«. The photographer ties a spiritual narrative to the oeuvre: while part one and two represent aspiration for enlightenment, the artist sees an end to this pursuit in this series, when he moves the source of knowledge within the protagonists.
Photographed in the Atacama Desert (Chile) with these two amazing Yogi from LA: Nicole Woyak and Andrew Sealy.
The trilogy consists three series: »Grey Matter(s)« (2014–2015), »Into the Light« (2015–2017) and »The Light Within« (2018). At first shady and mysterious, then cool and clear, finally contemplative and inviting.
With »Awakening« Tom Jacobi has created an homage to nature and planet earth.
